Indian Navy has released vacancy notification for the fulfillment of various posts against different ranks. Interested candidates can apply by submitting an online application for Steward, Cook and Topass/Officer Entry/Sailors – Sports Quota Entry/Artificer Apprentice (AA), For the Batch 2016. Candidates should be Indian citizen and must be unmarried, for all other details regarding eligibility criteria, Education and medical qualification please scroll down:-

Essential Qualification:

For: Steward, Cook and Topass

Posts Name Education details
Cook (MR) Candidate must be secondary passed i.e 10th
Steward (MR)
Topass (NMR) Candidate Must be 6th standard passed

For: Officer Entry and Artificer Apprentice (AA)

Education details

Intermediate (12th)examination passed with Science (PCM) mandatory or passed equivalent qualification from recognized school or Board with minimum 70% marks are eligible to apply for the Indian navy recruitment 2016.

For: Sailors – Sports Quota Entry

Qualification Info And Age Criteria:

Direct Entry Petty Officer Must have possessed 10+2 in any stream Between 17 to 22 years
Senior Residents Recruitment (SSR) Between 17 to 21 years
Matric Recruits (MR) 10th or Its Equivalent Qualification
Non Matric Recruits (NMR) Passed VI Standard
Sailing & Wind Surfing Applicants who have participated in NCC / SCC sailing national may also apply.

Age Limit:

  • Candidates who are between the age group (17 to 22) years as on 1st October 2016 (born in between 01 Oct 1995 and 30 Sep 1999 (Both dates inclusive)) are eligible to apply for this post.
  • Relaxation criteria for reserved category candidates are mentioned in the application form.

Selection Process:

Applicants will be selected on basis of their performance in Test and Personal Interview.

Pay Scale:

Selected candidates will be appointed in the pay scale of Rs 5200-20200 with grade pay Grade Pay Rs 2000/- plus MSP Rs 2000/- plus ‘X’ Group Pay Rs 1400/- plus DA.

How to Apply for Indian Navy Recruitment 2016

  • First of all go to official site that is www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
  • Choose the correct link for the recruitment and then follow the notice for which you want to apply and press ‘Apply Now’ tab.
  • After this go through required info related to you.
  • Upload documents like photograph and signature if required.
  • Press submit tab and take hard copy of application form.
  • Hardcopy of application may wrap in envelope and should be super scribed as “Application for the posts of__”.
  • Envelope containing application form must be sent to below stated address before the last date should be reached.

  • Closing Date of Receiving of Application Form: 3rd January 2016
  • End Date for Remote Areas: 10th January 2016

For Sailor Posts:

  • Last date of receiving of physical receipt: 01st January 2016
  • For Remote Area: 07th January 2016

For AA Posts:

  • Last date to submit online application: 27/12/2015
  • Last date of receiving of hard copy with significant documents: 03/01/2016
  • For far flung areas: 10/01/2016
